Josh Dawson

Josh has been training at Victor CrossFit since it started back in 2011. He is CF-L2 and CF-L1 certified and has been actively training within the Victor CrossFit community since 2014. Josh graduated from St. John Fisher College with a Bachelor’s in biology and a Bachelor’s in Nursing and then went on to pursue a Masters as a Nurse Practitioner. He worked in the Emergency Department at the U of R for several years before transferring to work in a Dermatology office as a Nurse Practitioner where he works today. Josh’s favorite part about Victor CrossFit is the community aspect and how everyone works together to accomplish their goals on a daily basis. He has competed in several different competitions in Rochester, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and Boston and enjoys the competitive nature that CrossFit brings. He played college soccer and found that after college he was missing that competition each day and found it in CrossFit. He loves helping members reach new PR’s and loves coaching members to learn new skills such as double unders, muscle ups and handstand walks.

Josh recently became the owner at Victor CrossFit and is excited for this new opportunityto make Victor CrossFit a big part of the fantastic Victor community as a whole. He is easy going and always willing to help with whatever he can. He is a proud uncle to two amazing boy/girl twins and his family current resides in Canandaigua, where he grew up. Josh lives in Victor just one mile from the gym and can be frequently found running to the gym to get a workout in. Some of his favorite workouts are chippers and his least favorite are workouts that you can walk after. He is excited to continue to be a part of the Victor CrossFit community and help the gym as a whole reach new heights!
